“A tithe of everything…belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.” Leviticus 27:30

“On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up so that when I come, no collections will have to be made.” 1 Corinthians 16:2

There are three categories of giving:

• Tithe
• Offerings
• Gift of giving

At The Garden Church, we practice tithing for the support of Christ’s Body, the church, as God commands. We recognise that giving 10% of our income is the Biblical standard for giving.

Many people love to give to God but need to have confidence in the methods and purposes used by organisations to which they give. Therefore, many people are willing to give if they can see honesty, integrity, and genuine spiritual values reflected in the lifestyles of their church leaders.

The giving of tithes and offerings is the worship of Jesus Christ and an expression of the relationship between the individual giver and the Lord. Funds are not “income only” they are worship and must not be considered a business transaction but an expression of gratitude toward God.

In order to ensure good governance in our books, we are audited by an independent auditing firm every year to ensure we meet the requirements of the law and have open transparency when we present the finances to the Church.
